Above Ground Fuel Tank

Our above ground fuel tank is made of steel welded construction for durable and safe oil storage. The steel fuel storage tank is fully fitted with tank shells built to the API (American Petroleum Industry) 12-F specification and CFR section 49 CFR 195.264(b)(1). The API tanks can safely contain crude oil and diesel fuel with tank capacities ranging from 210bbl to 750bbl, or measured in gallons, 4,200 gallons to 31,500 gallons. They have 4" threaded connections and a neutral tan exterior paint.

Oil Storage Tanks Applications

Oil storage tanks provide solutions for many bulk oil and fuel applications. Oil refineries and production oil wells can have a surplus of crude and refined oil. Finding oil storage during a time of increased supply can be challenging. Since our API stock tanks can be supplied right away, our steel storage fuel tank models are helpful for emergency situations when lead times are important.


Farms and ranches also use above ground diesel storage tanks. Large agricultural sites can store high capacities of diesel fuel while prices are low. Having bulk diesel fuel on hand keeps the farm running smoothly without having to worry about resupplying the site with fuel.

Other Oil Storage Tank Types

One Clarion also offers additional oil storage tanks. Our fuel bladder tanks provide temporary storage of diesel fuel, Jet A fuel, crude oil, and other hydrocarbon liquids. With capacities up to 210,000 gallons, you can store large volumes of oil more easily. The flexible material allows the unfilled fuel tank to be folded up to a fraction of its filled size, providing cost savings on freight and ease of shipping.


The military collapsible fuel bladder is also an option for fuel storage. It includes an aluminum storage chest, ground cloth, lifting slings, and 50,000 gallon fuel bladder. Due to its PVC material it is not recommended for long term storage and is a better solution for storing fuel short term.
