Turbidity curtains, also known as floating turbidity barriers or silt curtains, slow the migration of silt in water bodies and allows suspended sediment time to settle. During coastal projects, such as construction, dredging, or remediation, sediment clouds the water, blocking light needed by aquatic life and plants.
Clarion Municipal offers USA-made floating barriers and turbidity curtains in Type 1, Type 2, and Type 3 turbidity curtain models. For help in selecting the type of curtain needed for your project, please see: Turbidity Curtain Selection Guide (or contact us for assistance.). Our turbidity curtains meet federal and state EPA Clean Water Act and NPDES Phase II (PDF) regulations.
