Flood Protection Barriers

One Clarion offers large coated or uncoated FIBC bulk bags for use as Temporary Flood Barriers. Bags can be placed next to each other and filled with dirt or gravel to create a wall against Flooding. For a more permanent flood barrier system, bulk bags are sewn together and filled with concrete.

Our temporary flood barrier bags come in a few different construction designs, depending on the shape and stitch pattern. Models include:

• U-Panel
• 4-Panel
• Circular

Burlap Sandbags – are made from natural jute fibers, giving them a flexible and durable design for flood management. Unlike poly sandbags, burlap bags are eco-friendly and biodegradable, making them a great choice for environmentally conscious projects. These sandbags provide reliable flood control while being gentle on the planet. Perfect for temporary water management, burlap sandbags are a natural, sustainable solution.

Sandbag filling machines can fill a high volume of sandbags within a short time period. This helps cities provide their community with sandbags much faster to protect homes and businesses more quickly. The increased sand filling efficiency of the sandbag filling machine also saves manpower and physical effort, making easy work of a normally tedious and time consuming job.

All sandbag machine models are self-contained and transportable by trailer or in a truck bed. The Emergency Management department can bring their sandbag machine directly to at-risk areas instead of hauling filled sandbags across the municipality.

Each sandbag filling machine can fill between 400 and 1,600 sandbags per hour, depending the model type. Options include:

• 2-Chute Gravity-Fed (fills 400 - 500 sandbags per hour)
• 4-Chute Gravity Fed (fills 700 - 900 sandbags per hour)
• 3-Chute with Motor and Agitator (fills 1,000 sandbags per hour)
• 4-Chute with Motor and Agitator (fills 1,600 sandbags per hour)
