Folding frame tanks are a smart way to store water in emergency situations, especially in remote areas or places with limited space. These tanks are commonly used by firefighters and first responders who need quick access to water to help control fires in rural locations. The Single Lane Tank (SLT) is designed to virtually maximize water storage while keeping narrow roads open to traffic. It’s a space-saving option that helps emergency teams work more efficiently in tight areas. The SLT comes in various types, sizes, and configurations, so you can choose the best fit for your response needs.
Folding frame tanks are a fast and flexible solution for emergency water storage. These tanks fold flat for easy transport and storage, and they come as a single unit, making setup and breakdown virtually quick and simple. Built with a rigid aluminum or steel frame, each tank supports a durable interior liner that holds the water securely.
A special side-mounted flange plate assembly helps control water flow and virtually eliminates lift. The assembly includes a mounting plate and flange available in 4", 5", and 6" sizes and is adaptable to any folding frame tank model. Liners are available in different fabric options, including NSF 61 and FDA-approved materials, making them suitable for storing potable (drinking) water.
Municipal teams and emergency responders can use foldable tanks in a variety of ways. Firefighters use them to store water in rural areas when hydrants aren't available. During power or water outages, Emergency Management can use them to provide drinking water to communities.
Features For The Folding Frame Tanks
Folding frame tanks are built with a rigid outer frame and a strong interior liner. The frame is welded from aluminum or steel for stability and long-term use. Liner options are available in different materials and weights to fit your needs:
- 22 oz. HPR (High Performance Rubber) – Yellow or Red
- 22 oz. Vinyl – Red, Yellow, Orange, Black, or Blue
- 28 oz. Vinyl – Red, Yellow, Orange, Black, or Blue
Other reliable liner materials can also be used depending on your application. These collapsible water tanks are flexible and virtually adaptable to many emergency or municipal scenarios.
We also have the Single Lane Tank Max (SLT Max) which turns a standard folding frame tank into a high-capacity storage solution. It works by adding an extra bladder onto the main tank, creating more water storage for large-scale emergencies like industrial fires.
