Geotube Dewatering

Effective and Efficient dewatering

Looking for more effective and efficient dewatering? Our Geotube is made with high strength textiles that give you greater confinement of sludge, fine solids, and other sediment -- leaving cleaner, effluent water. We have a wide variety of products including dewatering bags and geotextile tubes. All of our permeable fabrics allow more water to pass through the bag or tube, filtering out sediment and sludge.

Our geotube dewatering tubes and bags are prefabricated and use strong, quality seaming techniques to create tube, bag-like, or other forms with filling ports for your dewatering site. The geotubes are sized to save you space and are easy to install and maintain. Ideal for public lakes, navigable rivers, beachfronts, and stormwater retention ponds. We have a variety of styles and sizes available to meet your job specifications.

It's important to determine the right product for your needs. This depends on your site conditions:

  • Volume of Liquid
  • Type of Sediment or Silt
  • Pump Flow Rate

Benefits of Geotube Dewatering Products

  • Highly effective technology with greater volume reduction and retention of solids
  • Superior effluent discharge rate of clear water
  • Easy removal and disposal of solids
  • Custom-sizes –efficient and space-saving
  • Reliable in all weather conditions
  • Cost effective, low maintenance and saves time
  • Versatile and environmentally friendly

Geotube Dewatering Bags

Our dewatering bag is the most commonly used dewatering product. Available in a variety of sizes, dewatering silt bags work well for most dredging and sediment separation applications. Contaminated water is pumped directly into the bag for steady filtration. The effluent flows back out through the highly permeable material, leaving behind dirt and other large materials inside the geo dewatering bag. Dewatering bags are perfect for stormwater filtering systems and construction location because of their exceptional soil particle retention. When dewatering bags are 80 percent full, it is ready to transport to a composting area for disposal, depending on the makeup of the material in the bag.

Geotube Dewatering Tubes

Dewatering tubes are similar to dewatering bags in their purpose and design. The main difference is their size and material. Geo textile tubes are significantly larger and are made with stronger woven geotextile fabric. Cities and counties often use dewatering tubes for wastewater treatment plants to filter out contaminants from local water supplies.

Sludge dewatering tubes or bags are ideal for use in navigation channels and make waterways more accessible for ships and vessels. Removing silt and sediment in waterways is important so pollutants don't spread to the air or other parts of the body of water.

Geotextile tubes are also great for coastal areas and breakwater applications. Beaches and coastlines can suffer from water erosion due to strong waves and tides hitting the area. Breakwater tubes add an extra line of defense, so shores are able to retain much of their natural sand. For more information check our Geotextile Dewatering Tubes (PDF).

Neil B. said: Thank you for your note and follow up. The installation went very well and not only repaired the shore line, but also seems to be averting further erosion as we hoped. I am very happy with the result and just shared my experience last month with all who attended our Water Association annual meeting. You may be hearing from some of my neighbors. Thanks again!

Customer Coir Log Testimonial

I have been very pleased with the customer service from One Clarion. I received a power washer that was severely damaged during shipment. I called to let Arian in your Customer Service Dept. know. She was very quick to contact the carrier, who in turn picked up the damaged item the same day. Within a week’s time, I received my replacement power washer! I am very pleased to say, the customer service from One Clarion, far exceeded my expectations! Thank you!

Sincerely,
Mel B.

Another satisfied customer! A corrugated water tank installed for use in storing water for emergency use (drought, wildfires, etc.) in Texas.
